New to this, looking to learn more / update my RNS510

So I've been running into those lovely issues where my car says i'm driving on grass, or through a lake because my maps are old. I forgot that I had signed up here and wanted to do this over a year ago, so i'm back, and seriously contemplating seeing what I can do with this headunit.

So I pressed the "Setup" button for a few seconds and was able to pull up the info on the unit which is below:

SW-Version: 3690
Active Map Coverage: North America
Active map Supplier: Navteq
Map Version HDD: 7565


What firmware will I be able to / should i upgrade to?

What about maps? is there a more recent map update I can apply?
